Yes it's an IDE, but meanwhile it supports many more languages than just Java. I'm using it for my JavaScript development

Intresting contradictionary opinions about privacy

Who is right? - Don Tapscott, the very experienced, or Reid Hoffman, the younger, next generation?

Yes, interesting debate - I tend to belive Reid Hoffman will be right in future ...
If we see the development of the last coupe of years, there is one clear trend, all over the world: INCREASING TRANSPARENCY -
This trend is mainly driven by TECHNOLOGY, and therefore I believe, there is no back, and the trend will continue. There are just many more ADVANTAGES of transparency than disadvantages for the society, even thought for an individual, transparency may be a bad thing.
Hence: in the long term, I think there will be much more transparency, and we will get a very different perspective on things like privacy -

For me Don Tapscott is definitely right. I think there are so many people (not just youngsters but mostly) out there committing their private stuff to public because being connected is 'fun' of course but they have never fallen flat on their faces with giving away private informations. Sometimes Ive got this feeling that some forget about thinking before they click on the submit button.
I mean I see big advantages of transparency for communication between businessmen or employee to supervisor or something like that, but transparency should have its limits as soon as a private person comes into play. But each user sets his own limits. They are responsible for giving away their informations and the platforms are just the medium. So users should be more aware of this. See the link for an example.
Googles CEO said: "If you have something that you don't want anyone to know, maybe you shouldn't be doing it in the first place." - That's nonsense!(And I think he knows it too)
