A month ago I did a Discoveryshop in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The team of young people invited about 8 deaf and mute students to join us. It was a remarkable experience as they had to communicate with sign language. But the loved being with "normal" people - as this was almost a first for them in such a Cafe. As I watched them I began to wonder whether we could use Colayer in these settings, where each participant had his or her laptop and then could chat via the written word - even in Arabic. Colayer is so conversational like, that it might work with very little or no modifications.

Please let me know, and I'll suggest to my friends in Riyadh that they try it out. Thoughts?

Siddhi, we have already had the Discoveryshop in Riyadh and don't have another planned. but the students that brought the Deaf and Mute in are taking a course dealing with their world. I just wanted to see if you folks where open to exploring this outreach to a group that is often ignored. If so, and if it were to be come easier to enroll new users myself, I'd let my friends in Riyadh know and we can explore this. What do you think?

Siddhi, if you were to add this tool to KEEnet and upgrade to the latest version, that would be wonderful. then I'd try it out with our friends in Saudi Arabia.

Siddi, thanks for the PPT. My questions:
1. In the Registration process, how do I create a Group Registration. I only see how to create a registration for individual users.
2. The Registration asks for first and last name, meaning the user name is: charlessavage But we all have short first names. Yet, in using just first names, sometimes there are two or more with the same first name. What should we do. Or is it possible to have a user name like: Charles.Savage ? This looks easier to read.

My wish would be to combine the two steps, the registration and the inviting into on. I create a user name, password and an User ID, then I invite him/her directly using a pulldown menu of the Comties? Might this be possible? This whole process is still a little clumpy.

Here is a group that Nida loaded some time ago. Two questions:
1. Can we delete this group, as it is no longer actual.
2. How could I create a group in this way myself?

Considering there is group called "cloud" which has 5 members.
- Need to create 5 members - use slide 4,5,6,7
- Create new comty under "groups" comty for eg comty_cloud - use slide 13,14,15,16,17
- Give access to individual member to comty_cloud - use slide 19,20,21,22,23,24
(New group has been created with 5 members. Group name is "cloud" same as comty ID)

Registration to the group
- Under "keenet" comty, create new comty structure for new group for practice or conversation. For example under keenet comty I create one main comty called "Cloud PaaS" and 5 subcomties.
- Give access to the "cloud" group on main comty "Cloud PaaS" - use slide 20,21,22,23,24 (only thing this time you have to use group access instead of direct access.)
- Send registration to cloud group on "Cloud PaaS" comty - use slide 27,28,29,30,31,32,34 (on slide No. 32 there are 2 links "send to member" & "Send to Group", in our case we use "send to Group" link for group registration. I insert group name "cloud" in the box like slide 34)

Please, can't you design an application where it is so much easier. The administration of the users has been my big "SHOW STOPPER" for too long. I shouldn't have to refer to any slides, but make choices as I go. Please, please, could this not be possible. right now, because you all work with the systems every day, it is easy, but not for poor little ol' me! Or am I asking for the impossible?

Siddhi, could we have a Skype chat so that I could learn to use the Administrative features of KEEnet that are already on there? I'd like to delete all the Christ University students, as they are no longer using KEEnet, and then start afresh. Thanks.

Does 3.0 have a well worked out front end so I can FINALLY easily enroll others? This is what I've missed for so long and it's honestly what's kept me from using the platform more often.

It's been such a pain to enroll people, this,as you know, is the biggest thing that's kept me from really using the platform. So please do hurry up with it.

Siddhi, I'm back and finally ready to bring a small group onto KEEnet. I've just enrolled Marie Laidig and that worked nicely. How do I give her access to one of the Comties, Zukunftssalon?

Second, what is the status of Colyaer 3.0? How close are we to the newest version?

'Zukunftssalon' comty is open for anon currently. If you would like to give access to particular comty then use "Manage Access" link on left top of the comty. Pl refer the Admin Utility PPT uploaded under Colayer support comty for further support.

How do I restrict this comty to just those who I allow in?

If you want to give access to particular members then pl follow below steps.
1. Go to 'Zukunftssalon' comty
2. click on "manage access" - the fist circle in given image
3. click on "Direct" link - second circle
4. type particular usernames in the given box, and select "provider" instead of "admin" from drop down. - 3rd circle
5. remove "public" below direct link by clicking on "X" in front. and submit the form.

Siddhi, I'll try this out. Just tried going to KEEnet, but it didn't respond. Is KEEnet ofline?

What's the status of Davos 3.0?

How do I delete a sub-comty?

How do I change the order of the sub-comties under a comty?

Davos 3.0 is under development mode, Markus is concentrating on it currenty.
We can not delete but archive comty, pl let me know which comty you would like to archive. I will do it.
To move comties up and down there is arrows given beside "manage access" link. With the help of these arrows we can move comties up & down. If you want me to do it, pl provide the required comty structure.

Siddhi, I've indicated the names I'd like deleted from this comty. thanks for this help. Will I someday have the ability to archive comties?

Do you also want to rename "core team" comty with "Reflective community"?
I have uploaded screen shot of how to archive comties. Get shuttle on pos, mouseover on edit and click on archive. After click, pl refresh page to see the result.

Markus and team, given all my travels and teaching, I got a bit behind with Colayer. Is 3.0 operational now?

It will then take a few weeks more to be ready with all collaboration features. I expect ex to go on 3.0 some time between Sept to November.

Markus, thanks for getting right back. Do you have someplace a description of the new features and concepts behind 3.0? If so, please point me to the right place.

Let me know when you have a good overview, because this also becomes an excellent selling tool. Have you thought of using the Blue Ocean Strategy Canvas, so in a few words and two lines you can show the differences? If you wish, I can upload a short overview of the Strategy Canvas with examples.

Markus, I sense you are getting good speed in the new version - Are you including an easier administrative facility? Am keen to see it. So a little view of your Green Kloten site. Looks good.
